San Antonio JCC: Mobile App Design

The customer needed an app design that would serve as a benefit to being a member. From the app, members can access information about their account, register for programs, easily check into the building and more. This first phase of the app design features a user flow where members can log in and register for programs. Phase 2 of the project will include additional features such as Tennis Court reservations and babysitting scheduling.

User Flows and Wireframes

Using Adobe XD as my starting point, I created wireframe for the user flow illustrated above. Once the wireframes were approved by the customer and the internal development team, I was able to being creating clickable prototypes. Unfortunately, the website has since been through a redesign, and the app no longer matches the branding of their site. A major update to the app is on the roadmap for 2021.

Retrospective

I had a great time working on this app design, although the MVP version in the App store is not identical to these prototypes. Many of the features of the app are still in development, but I am excited to continue iterating on this design and collect some metrics on the app’s performance and usability.
